What is the best way to capture flat item dimensions?
xPIM+:
- You will want to first make sure there is a color contrast between your item and the background for a good contrast. Dark items on a light background and light items on a dark background for most accurate results.
- Navigate to the dimensioning icon to the right of your device screen.
- Select the flat item measurement icon located at the bottom of your device screen.
- You will want to position your device roughly 12 inches above the flat item for a top-down approach. Note: distance may change depending on the size of the flat item.
- You will automatically capture the length and width of that flat object.
- For the height - you can preset and select from your dropdown, completing your full dimension measurements. These preset height dimensions are completely customizable.
